USING ONLY THE BEST MATERIALS

Quartz Finish

Quartz delivers a subtle, beautiful look yet has a long-lasting lifespan with ease of maintenance. Quartz consists of round, colored ceramic aggregate mixed with white concrete for a much tougher and beautiful finish. Quartz falls higher on the Mohs scale than the standard marcite white plaster. The Moh Mineral Hardness Scale is a qualitative scale that measures the hardness of different natural minerals.

Expected Life Span: 10 to 12 Years

Maintenance Necessity: Low

Texture Type: Smooth

White Plaster

White plaster is one of the most popular materials for inground swimming pools. It is considered one of the original types of application within the industry, with the first pools using this material dating back to the late 1920s. The classic white plaster is a mix of white cement and white marble aggregate, which is continuously mixed with water during production. This mix of materials creates a gorgeous finish that gives your swimming pool water an attractive color.

Expected Life Span: 8 to 10 Years

Maintenance Necessity: Medium

Texture Type: Soft & Smooth

ANY QUERY?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The answer is based on the size of your pool and the amount of required work. The process could take longer if your pool has extensive plastering damage or other aesthetic problems. However, a lot of pool plastering work can be finished in a week to a few days. Our typical turnaround time to replaster a pool of this size is 10–14 days. When it comes to a schedule for pool plastering, our staff will walk you through what to anticipate during the earliest phases of consultation.

Our typical turnaround time to replaster a pool of this size is 10–14 days.

It all depends on the aesthetic results you’re going for! When deciding on the appropriate color for your swimming pool, we take a number of factors into account, including the design and color of the pool deck, the elements of your garden and patio, LED lighting, sun exposure, and more. Hawaiian Blue, Tahoe Blue, and Azure are three hues that are very popular in Virginia and Maryland from a popularity aspect!

The cost is one of the key factors for many pool owners, even if it is not the only aspect of pool ownership and maintenance. Pool plastering costs can vary depending on a number of criteria, including:

  • Pool Sizes

  • The Shape of the Pool

  • Cost of Resources and Labor

  • Style, Color, and Finish of the Desired Plaster

  • Any Structure Adjustments Or Repairs To The Pool

Some pool owners may be put off by the possible expense of plastering their pools, but you should think of it as an investment in the long-term enjoyment and value of both your pool and your house. It can be significantly more expensive to fix problems brought on by broken or subpar pool plaster than it is to take preventative measures.

There are several types of pool plaster materials available, including traditional white plaster, quartz aggregate plaster, pebble plaster, and colored plaster. Traditional white plaster is the most affordable option, but it may need to be resurfaced every 5-10 years. Quartz and pebble plaster are more durable and resistant to staining and chemical damage, but they can be more expensive. Colored plaster is available in a variety of hues and can add visual interest to your pool.

Pool plastering or resurfacing is essential for maintaining the structural integrity and aesthetics of your pool. Over time, the surface of your pool may deteriorate due to wear and tear, staining, or aging. Plastering or resurfacing helps restore the appearance and functionality of your pool, prolonging its lifespan and enhancing its value.

Signs that your pool may need plastering or resurfacing include cracks, chips, stains, rough texture, or discoloration on the surface. Additionally, if you notice water loss or difficulty maintaining water chemistry, it could indicate underlying issues with the pool surface that require attention.

The lifespan of the new pool surface depends on factors such as the quality of materials used, proper installation techniques, regular maintenance, and environmental factors. With proper care and maintenance, a well-installed pool surface can last anywhere from 7 to 15 years or more.
